Delta Ag Services (www.deltaag.ca) is hiring a full-time permanent Staff Agronomist to join their expanding operation in Portage la Prairie Manitoba. Delta Ag Services is an independent crop consulting company that works with their clients to review complete crop production systems and develop long term strategies to improve farm profitability, land stewardship and sustainability.

Responsibilities:
- Provide sound, meaningful agronomic support to clients
- Complete detailed crop plans with clients
- Provide VR prescriptions to clients
- Interpret soil and tissue analysis results with clients
- Provide in-field agronomy to advise clients on weed, insect and disease control options
- Assist clients to identify specific opportunities for improving crop yield and delivered quality
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Diploma or a Degree in Agriculture
- Preference will be given to those who have obtained their Certified Crop Adviser designation or are working towards it
- Leadership skills to enable the supervision of summer students or casual workers
- Previous agriculture consulting experience in Western Canada
- Knowledge of and willingness to develop new agronomic techniques
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
