The Revenue Streams area requires several individuals to work under the direction of the Team Lead, Cash Processing to help with the collection of fares, and the sorting and straightening of paper currency tickets, requisitions and transfers that are collected from bus fare boxes. 
 
Fares are collected from sealed fare boxes at Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations and platforms during the 2024 Calgary Stampede, from July 4 to July 15, 2024 (inclusive). Fare Collectors will be required to interact with the general public in an intermittently hectic environment and may also be required to work alone.
 
Qualifications 
  • Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age (to comply with late evening and early morning work hours, according to the Employment Standards Act).
  • At least 6 months of cash handling and cashiering experience is required.
  • Applicants must be able to carry out duties with minimal instructions.
  • Success in this role requires excellent communication and strong customer service skills.
 
Pre-employment Requirements 
  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

Hours of work: This position requires shift work. Actual hours of
work and start times will vary between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and
2:00 a.m. Some split shifts may be required.
