You will be a member of the Strategy and Intergrated Planning - Reliability and Analytics group, which is responsible for:

  • Carry out performance measurement, analysis and reporting related to the Hydro One Networks business
  • Perform transmission equipment, delivery point reliability data collection and assessments
  • Perform distribution reliability performance analysis
  • Perform Asset Analytics related analysis, data maintenance
  • Perform Reliability and risk assessment studies to identify risk in transmission and/or distribution system reliability
  • Prepare transmission and distribution business performance evidence document for the OEB rate filing
  • Provide support to Tx and Dx asset management department for asset investment planning to improve transmission and distribution system reliability performance
  • Provide the support to the customer relationship for customer reliability performance evaluation and assessment
  • Provide the support to the transmission and distribution planning department to identify existing transmission and distribution system performance issues for improvement
  • Participate in benchmarking studies to identify the potential to improve the transmission and distribution system reliability performance
  • Support in Post Event Investigation using TapRoot analysis

 

Your job duties may include:

  • Support analysis and reporting on the transmission and/or distribution system performance metrics
  • Support detailed analyses, studies and development undertaken by the department
  • Support regulatory/market Compliance reporting analysis for the OEB, NPCC/NERC and IESO 
  • Support performing benchmarking studies (data collection, analysis and presentation, internal and external)
  • Maintain performance information databases and associated processes
  • Support projects and key initiatives undertaken by the department
  • Support the development of performance analysis and reporting processes, tools and systems
  • Support change control of existing processes and tools for Master Data Management and Transactional information
  • Assist in the enhancement or troubleshooting of existing applications that allow users to update, view or report on enterprise information

 

This job will provide you with the following professional development:

  • Get familiar with transmission and/or distribution business
  • Understand transmission and/or distribution reliability performance measures
  • Understand transmission and distribution asset data and analysis process
  • Apply academic knowledge and skills on real system analyses
  • Interact with different Lines of Business within Hydro One

 

Job Requirements:

  • Discipline: Engineering, Computer, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business
  • Academic Level: Undergraduate in 3rd year or up

 

The following knowledge is essential in order to perform in this position:

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office - Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint),
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

The following knowledge is desirable in order to perform in this position:

  • Database, Statistics
  • SAP, Business Object
  • Python
