Student Positions - Seasonal

Swift Canoe & Kayak Georgian Bay is gearing up for a big summer in 2024 and we're looking for some great people who want to join our team.

Student positions at Swift are a great opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience, work outside, learn about canoes, kayaks and have a lot of fun over the summer, especially if you are into the outdoors. Student positions fill out the counter staff or rental team and often both.

More details:

Part Time weekend employment starting in April with increased hours (potentially full time) for July and August finishing in September or October depending on availability.

8 - 32 hours per week

Salary: $17 per hour

Seasonal Student Positions

Rental Staff

• Rentals – assist with canoe & kayak rentals.
• Assist customers with rental tie-downs
• Clean, organize boats and rental gear.
• Property and store maintenance, cutting grass, painting, cleaning.
• Assist customers and deliver amazing customer service.

Counter Staff

• Greet and welcome customers.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Answer questions and address concerns.
• Keep the front desk tidy and presentable.
• Managing inventory and special orders.
• Take rental reservations, complete rental contracts.
• Perform point of sale transactions, cash balancing and closing.
• Assist customers as required.

Interviews will be held either in person or via Zoom.

These positions are for our Waubaushene location only.

Reliable transportation is required, no public transportation is available.
