As a student in the Visitor Engagement Branch, reporting to the Senior Advisor, Visitor Engagement Strategy and Planning, you will be involved in projects related to Visitor Engagement through the following activities:
Gathering and organizing information for the Visitor Engagement strategy;
Finding contacts and researching community organizations as part of an audience engagement mapping exercise
Taking notes and preparing reports for meetings and workshops;
Assisting the Learning division with local outreach;
Assisting with tasks related to the renewal of the experience development process;
Other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
A student pursuing post-secondary studies (college, university 1st or 2nd cycle) in museology, art history, Indigenous studies, Canadian studies, marketing, communications, archives, archaeology and digital culture or any other related field;
Experience in gathering, organizing and synthesizing information (a writing sample may be required);
Experience in museums, arts or heritage institutions, or organizations involved in community programming or working with indigenous communities is considered an asset;
Good knowledge of Microsoft office 365 suite.
Eligibility criteria:
Must be studying full-time at a college or university;
Must return to full-time studies next semester (proof will be required);
Bilingualism CBC;
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Working conditions:
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Possibility of teleworking
Compensation: $17.00/hour to $26.92/hour – variation according to the student’s level of education
Status: May 27, 2024, to August 16, 2024
Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability
Location: 100 Laurier Street, Gatineau, QC and/or 1 Vimy Place, Ottawa, ON
