Plan and coordinate Kids Summer Camp Program
o Assist in the hiring and training of camp counselors.
o Processing includes:
Creating the activity/presenter list for each day of the camp.
Contact presenters required to attend each day of the camps.
Ensure each councilor is prepared daily to run their group through the various activities.
Be prepared to step in in the situation where a councilor is unable to be at camp.
Work with the Executive Director in the development of programs that will be delivered during the camps.
o Programs may include:
Activities aimed at educating campers about the environment.
Educating campers on the proper technique of shooting a bow and/or shooting an air pistol/rifle.
Training in proper fishing techniques.
Ensure equipment is in working order and replace as needed.
o Fishing rods and tackle
o Archery
o Air Pistols and Rifles
o Craft Supplies
Train councilors in the delivery of various programs.
o Run the councilors through the various activities to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to lead and supervise their groups in the various activities.
o Work with the various Federation clubs to secure trainers for the councilors in the various disciplines.
Secure presenters for the camps
o Ensuring we have enough presenters to fill each week. Plan for 2-3 presenters per day.
Organize meals and other activities for campers.
Ensure the facility is ready for the camps each day/week.
Be the first point of contact for parents.
Other duties as assigned.
