Summer Law Student (1L)

Are you a Law Student looking to have a Summer Law Student (1L) contract as part of your learning pathway towards being called to the bar in Ontario?
The Superior Court of Justice hires two (2) first-year Law Students to work in the Legal Research Facility in Toronto over the summer. The duties of the Summer Law Students will primarily consist of providing legal research and support to the Office of the Chief Justice. The position will also include some administrative support duties.
The Court seeks LL.B./J.D. students who are currently completing their first year of law school. Applicants should possess the following skills:
• strong legal research, writing and editing skills
• strong communication skills
• strong organizational skills
• the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• general computer proficiency (including Word)
The duration of these positions is three months, beginning in mid-May 2023.
