Summer School
St. Paul Education is recruiting a Summer School Teacher in the Options field. The position may include instruction in Aboriginal Studies, Psychologies, Forensics, Sociology, HCS stream, Work Experience, PE, CALM, Learning Strategies and Financial Management Open to: Internal and external candidates who are qualified teachers.
These 3-5 credit courses will run weekdays from July 4 to July 26, 2024, with class times from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. These courses may be separate courses or combined depending on enrollment.
The preferred candidate would have previous experience teaching any of these courses. A significant understanding of Google classrooms and module-based courses is an asset. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, flexible, can work in a fast-paced environment and understands the key to relationships in student success.

Geographically and demographically, St. Paul Education covers a large rural/urban area in Northeast Alberta. We serve the communities of St. Paul, Elk Point, Two Hills, Mallaig, Ashmont, Myrnam and Heinsburg. We also serve students from Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Whitefish Lake First Nation #128, Frog Lake First Nation and Kehewin Cree Nation.
In 1995, parent and community stakeholders initiated the amalgamation of five school boards into what is now St. Paul Education. In doing so, St. Paul Education became the only school division in Alberta to operate both separate and public schools under one board. The Divisions religious, linguistic and cultural diversity is a source of strength and pride.
We serve 3625 students (K-12), including Catholic, First Nation, Mennonite, Hutterite and Home Schooling learners. Our 19 definable school sites are staffed by approximately 240 FTE teaching staff and 345 support staff.
