Summer Student Employment

Since 1947, South Country Village (SCV) has set the standard for high quality senior’s living by building a community that supports people across the care continuum. As a Christian based, not-for-profit organization, we are always looking to find ways to improve the care and services we offer to those who call our community their home.

SCV is looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual for Summer employment. They must have good communication skills and be able to respect our residents and their quality of life while fulfilling their job responsibilities.

This position is available from June 3, 2024 to August 2, 2024

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIES AND DUTIES:

• Assist with day-to-day custodial duties
• Exterior and interior panting
• Landscaping, grounds upkeep,
• Household waste disposal
• Running errands for Maintenance manager
• Operating light equipment

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• General knowledge of common hand and power tools
• Basic painting skills
• Basic understanding of how to operate a lawn mower, weed whacker, etc
• Ability to perform physical labor intensive tasks
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Clean Criminal records check
