About this opportunity:

We are looking for an Field EnvironmentalSummer Student to work on EHS & Sustainability Team for a 4-month term. This position will commence in May 2023 and be based out of the Kaybob Region. The successful candidate must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Fox Creek area for their work-term duration.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be exposed to the many initiatives that Paramount is taking to reduce emissions, increase operational efficiency and decrease environmental impacts
  • You will be supervised and mentored by environmental and engineering professionals
  • You will learn about environmental regulations, engineering specifications & standards and project management best practices
  • You will assist with Alberta Watercourse Crossing Inspections
  • You will assess stream crossings, fish habitat, types of streams, etc.
  • You will work on remediation work required for stream crossing repair or outlet build up
  • You will assist and review remediation projects

Who you are:

  • You are a student currently enrolled in an Environmental Program
  • You are someone with previous oil and gas experience (field experience considered an asset)
  • You are able to work effectively in a team environment
  • You are someone who values feedback as a learning tool
  • You are motivated, hard-working and determined to achieve superior results
  • You are focused and have a keen attention to detail
  • You are comfortable working outdoors (including use of an ATV)

To be eligible for a Paramount Resources student position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
  • You are available to work the full duration of the work term
  • Valid Operaors
  • You are legally entitled to work in Canada, without restriction by way of one of the following:
    • Canadian Citizenship
    • Permanent Residency
    • Valid work permit
  • As this position is safety sensitive, you will be required to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and obtain a negative result
  • As duties include driving a company vehicle, you will be required to produce a valid Operator’s license and current driver’s abstract
