Summer Students to work in Dietary, Housekeeping, Laundry

WHAT WILL BE DOING

• Participates with other members of the Nutritional Care Team in meeting the nutritional needs of all residents in the home
• Preparation of snack items in compliance with the Ministry of Health requirements
• Plating meals and meal delivery to the residents
• Clearing and cleaning dishes, general cleaning duties
• Maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and public
• Clean and maintain designated areas of the facility, including rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
• Dust furniture, sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets, and clean windows
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Sanitize surfaces and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products
• General laundry duties include the collecting and sorting of all soiled laundry following all established methods and techniques.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING ALONG

• Food handlers certificate or willing to get
• Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire
• TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
• Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
• Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Be aligned with our company values and culture
• Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term

Starting Wage $20.96

Contract length: 5 months
