Position Overview:
Stepping Stones Childcare Wasaga Beach is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Supervisor. As the Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our comprehensive childcare services, overseeing daycare (pre-school & toddler), summer camp, and before/after school programs. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education, hold an RECE qualification, and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and leadership in daily operations.
- Responsible for all licensing requirements
- Responsible for staff scheduling
- Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and maintain a high standard of childcare services.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment that aligns with Stepping Stones' philosophy of learning through play.
- Utilize computer skills for administrative tasks and effective communication within the organization.
- Collaborate with Community Partners
- Maintain open and collaborative relationships with parents, addressing concerns and providing regular updates on children's progress.
- Conduct staff training and development sessions to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children through adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution among staff members, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Requirements:
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) qualification.
- Proficient in computer skills for administrative tasks.
- CPR certification.
- Successful completion of Criminal/Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Extensive knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
- Comfortable and effective in dealing with parents and staff.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
