Daily Duties:
Managing, designing, developing, creating and maintaining projects.
Ensure that proper techniques are being used in the field including loading blast holes, tying in shots, and shot fire.
Be certified blaster of record for blasting operations.
Conducting on-site investigations and analyzing data.
Assessing potential risks, materials and costs.
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the daily activities of drill/blast crews.
Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments/subcontractors/supervisors/managers.
Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Coordinate materials and supplies.
Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed and implemented at all times.
Supervising, coordinating and scheduling the activities of related apprentices, helpers and laborers.
Keep open communication with operations manager and report decision making, including outcomes.
Supervise and delegate crews to maximize efficiencies and productivity on site; minimize any delays or standby.
Maintain efficiencies and productions with crews.
Demonstrated knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
Reporting:
Project Scheduling reviews and reporting.
Daily field reports covering Labor Equipment Material and Sub-trades.
Quality reporting for work completed and recommendations for improvements.
Production & Paperwork Audits: Ensure all on-site paperwork is completed accurately and completely and approved/signed before submitting to head office daily.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 64 per week
