Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or coordinate reclamation activities focused on noxious/prohibited weed mitigation and native plant installation for up to 6 personnel. 10 days on, 4 days off shifts.
- Provide skilled physical labour; activities may include backpack spraying, hand pulling, weed-whacking, mechanical removal of vegetation, plant installation, material hauling/handling, driving to/from site, record keeping, safety paperwork.
- Plant identification skills are imperative; must select and only spray undesirable vegetation while leaving native species to grow.
- Collecting and reporting data from the field as required
- Data entry, descriptive technical writing and scientific data interpretation may be required. Project progress tracking.
- Lead a team in a remote setting requiring overnight stays. (Hotels/Accommodation/LOA provided for remote projects)
- Project is in the Banff National Park; crew stays in Canmore.
- Maintains clean driving record.
- Able and willing to drive trucks with trailers and equipment.
- Responsible for truck and trailer, hand tools, and installation materials
Skills:
- Strong background in reclamation, herbicide application and plant knowledge.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Salary: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
