Job Description: As a member of the Care Services Division team, the Supervisor of Systemic Therapy Outpatient Services (STOPS) Support Staff is responsible and accountable for leading the Clinical Assistants and Chemotherapy Schedulers operational activities within STOPS under the direction of the Managers of STOPS.
Required Qualifications
Medical Office Assistant certificate (OR) Office Education/Secretarial certificate plus completion of a Medical Terminology course (OR) completion of a Nursing or Radiation Therapy program.
Experience
Two (2) years recent experience performing complex scheduling (patient and/or staff scheduling).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to assume responsibility for work over others on a daily basis.
Ability to critically think.
Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate factual information effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of completion according to priorities
Ability to work independently
Accuracy of fine motor movements for typing/data entry is required.
Demonstrates leadership skills.
High level judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a variety of alternatives.
Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public, staff within your area of responsibility and other departments.
Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Mtis people.
