Is in charge of the validation of the Center of Excellence (CoE) suppliers’ processes and products and ensure that parts delivered on site are compliant to dimensional and functional requirements.
Is accountable of the CDS-Interiors Development For Quality (DFQ) Cycle application.
Guarantee the full deployment of Alstom Transport quality supplier strategy & Alstom Way Of Working
A / Product Development validation
Ensure the Product Quality robustness in concept phase
Participate to the Design Reviews in order to challenge the design on the manufacturing feasibility
Define the Project Quality requirements and validate the Technical Specifications
Ensure that the Product Quality Return of Experience is taken into account in product development
Perform the product risk analysis with engineering team
Ensure that the key characteristics of the products are identified and ensure their consistency
Validate the LDR (Launch Design Review) of CDS-Interiors
Issue Quality specifications for Request for Quotations (RFQ) Package
Ensure the Product Quality robustness in specification phase
Validate the Technical Specification and Quality specification Clause by clause
Prepare Supplier Quality Status (SQS) for Business Award and obtain waiver approval when necessary
Check that the design is in line with the pre-selected suppliers capabilities (Technomatrix)
Set the mitigation plan based on the product risk analysis
Ensure that the supplier Return of Experience is taken into account in product development
Participate to the Design Reviews in order to confirm the design manufacturing feasibility with suppliers
Set up the requested tooling list
Ensure that the expected perceived quality is defined and validated with internal customer
Ensure that the key characteristics of the products are defined and ensure their consistency
Validate the SDR (Specification Design Review) of CDS-Interiors
B / Supplier Industrial Process Validation
Manage the suppliers’ industrial processes development
Attend and validate the CDS-Interiors PDR (Preliminary Design Review) and CDR (Critical Design Review)
Ensure that the products key characteristics are well defi ned on assembly drawings and taken into account in the suppliers’ processes
Supervise the Process FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), its action plan implementation on the suppliers’ process, control plan, reports, boundary samples,…
Collect the project master samples, and validate the supplier secondary master samples for the Go Prod milestone
Ensure that the necessary series tests are in place in supplier premises
Perform the processes audits to qualify supplier process consistency (repeatability, capabilities, conformity of means and products) , perform the suppliers’ capacity audit, analyze the potential issues during the Supplier Production preparation phase and support the suppliers in implementing the right processes in order to respect the products quality requirements
Create the necessary design change requests for production preparation phase and share them with the CDS project team
Ensure that defect book is in place , committed by suppliers and agreed with Internal customer
Monitor and validate the Supplier Production means and the critical FAI (First article inspection) tier 2 components prior to Go Prod
Ensure that the parts manufactured are compliant to specifications
Manage Go Prod on time in full
Manage FAI (First article inspection) Go on time
Ensure that all the contractual documentation requested to the suppliers is delivered and approved on time through the supplier quality portal
Participate to the Design Reviews in order to challenge the design on the manufacturing feasibility
Ensure the Product Quality robustness in concept phase
Manage the first batches release: go in supplier premises and control all the first parts to be delivered on projects before shipping
Get the waiver approved from customers in case of deviation or derogation prior to deliver
Analyse the 8D of suppliers during serial production phase and ensure quick response from suppliers
Participate to the internal supplier performance assessment
Ensure consistent Quality Handover to SQA (Supplier Quality Assurance)
Promote Continuous Improvement
Formalize the return of experience within the CDS and share it with Engineering team

What do I need to Qualify for this job?
Knowledge & Experience
03 to 05 years’ experience in Supplier Quality Assurance , Production management, Engineering or industrial Engineering
Strong knowledge of Problem solving methods (8D, QRQC …) and Risk Analysis Methods (FMEA…)
Good technical knowledge in composite parts and composite processes (hand lay-up, infusion, thermoplastic, LRTM, SMC) to assess Supplier Production means
Expertise in special processes (painting, adhesive, welding, …)
Good technical knowledge in composite parts to challenge and ensure design to manufacture approach
Good technical knowledge of the following industrial products: aluminum profiles, stainless steel and aluminum sheet metal, honeycomb, casting parts
Mechanical engineering background
Able to work in an international, multi-sites and matrix organization
Good Communication and interpersonal skills
Travel; 50% of the time, in Canada, US and as needed if necessary.
