Description:

The Bimbo Bakeries USA Supply Chain Internship program is a dynamic paid, opportunity that affords students a remarkable experience to participate in fast-paced, real-world, projects designed to further develop strategic project management, analytical problem solving, and managerial leadership skills. Mentors will be designated to guide student collaborations and project work in each area. Students will be exposed to a variety of functional areas such as sales, distribution, and sales planning while earning college credits in various locations nationwide. The students will gain valuable experience and transferrable skills in the following areas:

  • Hands on experience implementing and testing innovative solutions with a focus on ROI analysis
  • Ability to adapt to a multitude of Business Intelligence tools
  • Familiarity with business agnostic tools and platforms that prepare the student for future roles

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Support business units in the development and execution of Supply Chain logistics operations, analysis and projects
  • Exposure to global Supply Chain leadership
  • Assigned projects will be "real life, value added assignments” that the student can relate to classroom learning
  • Learn about ordering, re-order points, reports for cuts, inventory, and sourcing
  • Support and learn Lean Manufacturing Continuous improvement Skills, Set up charts, Line efficiencies, waste reduction, problem solving.

Education and Work History:

  • Candidate should be currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree
  • Previous Co-op or intern experience is a plus
  • Flexible schedule available, however, must be willing to work at minimum 30 hours / week
