Job description

As a Supply Chain Product Coordinator you will be an integral part of our Product Partnering team supporting the greater Product Quality, Quantity Compliance department and all Irving Oil business lines (Refining & Supply and Sales & Marketing Operations). Your goal will be to work directly with managers and subject matter experts within your assigned business unit to support the implementation of and compliance with product standards and associated regulations. Your success will be to help to support and coordinate Supply Chain product compliance activities.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead, initiate, influence, leverage and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across their assigned business unit and to effectively influence, shape and design tactical and strategic product quality projects to align with industry and internal Supply Chain activities.
  • Anticipate and plan for long-term business needs and trends in partnership with business units and the Product Partnering Manager.
  • Oversee the information flow to and from the Product Quality, Quantity Compliance (PQQC) team with their assigned business unit, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of product related information.
  • Proactively identify and communicate product quality integrity status, risks, trends, and activities.
  • Demonstrate understanding of fuel product quality standards, internal Supply Chain activities, and product quality integrity controls.
  • Support product quality incident management activities.
  • Communicate Product Quality, Quantity Compliance recommendations and advice for commercial activities and agreements.
  • Stay informed on Product Quality, Quantity Compliance trends and metrics across all business units to develop and evaluate workflow solutions and processes.
  • Align with fellow Product Partners on strategic planning initiatives, ensuring the required support, resources, and capabilities are in place.
Your Skills
  • Strong ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent leadership and negotiation skills are required.
  • Ability to build strategic relationships with Business Unit stakeholders and Product Quality, Quantity Compliance (PQQC ) team leads.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to analyze and prioritize.
  • Independent worker who is focused on results and accomplishing objectives.
  • Ability to negotiate delivery of business priorities against established timelines based on capacity and resourcing constraints.
Your Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, technical or business field.
  • Certificates in quality assurance/risk management programming/project management would be an asset.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in product handling, Supply Chain and/or quality assurance would be an asset.
