The Opportunity
RVS invites applications for the on-call, casual position of Support Substitute for the 2023-2024 School Year . Support substitutes are called to work on an as needed basis, at any of our schools. There are a variety of positions available based on experience and qualifications such as: Receptionist, and Learning Commons Facilitator.
You must be available to work throughout the 2023-2024 School Year, be accessible by telephone and internet, and provide your own transportation. Interviews will be held via Zoom on an as needed basis.
Successful candidates will posses:
Positive references
Outstanding interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to keep up-to-date with changing technology
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with a team of educational professionals
Understanding of and commitment to supporting learning initiatives
Ability to work with other staff members to create a positive, safe, and optimal learning environment
Capacity to establish a rapport with students
Education/Experience:
Receptionist
High school diploma
Office administration coursework considered an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
Learning Commons Facilitator
High school diploma
Diploma or undergraduate degree in Library Information Technology program, or related field considered an asset
Previous office and library experience
Pre-employment Requirements
The successful candidate(s) must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment
Proof of qualifications/education as required by the position
