The Casual Supportive Housing Cook (SHC) plans and develops menus, including special diets, performs kitchen related administrative duties, tracks, orders, and receives inventory, prepares meals for 70 residents living in the Supportive Housing building, and performs all related cleaning and sanitation duties.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Professional Cook Training Certificate
- Minimum 2 years recent related experience, or equivalent education and training, or other Qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work
- Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR-C
- Valid Food Safe Level One Certification
- Ability to develop rapport with marginalized individuals
- High level of empathy and compassion
- Knowledge of harm reduction approach
- Knowledge of mental health, addictions and homelessness
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment

Salary: $25.01-$27.40 per hour
