Aviva is pleased to announce the start of our recruitment for our Summer Intern Program for the period of May 2024 to August 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary students to gain exposure to the insurance industry. We are currently looking for summer interns to join our health and safety team. Aviva realizes the importance of creating internships as a means to develop talent to meet future requirements for entry-level insurance roles.

What you’ll do:
- Assist in identifying emissions “hot spots” and other areas of opportunities to embed sustainability into each stage of our value chain.
- Support the delivery of training and educational programs related to climate and sustainability.
- Participate in working group, workstream and collaboration meetings and provide project support to workstream leads.
- Research, collate and analyze data.
- Assist with internal program reporting requirements, preparing presentations, meeting notes, etc.
What you need to succeed:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program required
- Proficient with various computer programs, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative
- Experience in customer service and working with a diverse group of people
- Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to critically think and problem solve
- Interest in, and passion for, developing solutions to corporate sustainability issues
