Lafarge Canada is looking for an experience Tandem Dump Truck Driver to join the team.
- Communicates with load and unload areas, hauls materials safely to designated areas and maintains safe speed and observes all haulage.
- Performs walk-around pre-trip safety inspections. Identifies safety problems or concerns and reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor including near misses and areas where safety can be improved.
- Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced.
- Required to understand general knowledge intermediate computer skills
- Communicates and promotes safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with Company standards
- May require considerable physical activity, must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting
- Responsible for completing daily checklist, journal and reports
- Continuously communicating with plant operators, truckers, quality control and dispatch
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Qualification Profile
- Valid Class 1 Drivers License.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience hauling construction materials.
- Mandatory drug and alcohol pre-screening is needed before starting work
- Heavy machinery / equipment experience
