SalaryCanadian Training Institute is certified training institution located in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland. We offer training programs in Heavy Equipment Operator, Commercial Driver, and Tandem Truck operation.
We are looking for an energetic driver to join our team as a Tandem Truck demonstrator, within the Heavy Equipment Operator Program.
This position is available for either full time or part time hours, depending on applicant's needs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare students to enter the commercial driver field by providing them with on the road/in the yard training on the safe operation of Tandem Trucks.
- Training includes pre- and post- trip inspections; gear recovery procedures; double clutching; safe us of dump.
- All training is done on standard transmission trucks
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to: curriculum training, safe operation, and other standards as required
- Operate equipment for demonstration of tasks to students
- Conduct student evaluations and other light paperwork as required
Minimum Requirement:
- Five years verifiable work experience operating Tandem Trucks
- Applicant must have valid Tandem Truck journey person certificate (blue seal)
- Valid class 3, and 9 licence
- Clean driver's abstract
- Ability to operate standard transmissions
- Double clutch
