Position summary: Clifford Brewing is looking for a hospitality superstar to fulfill the role of Taproom Supervisor. This is a hands-on role that leads the customer experience in our taproom and works closely with the General Manager. This a permanent role with part-time hours (30-40 hours per week) that requires candidates to work evenings and weekends on a consistent basis (shifts are focused on a Thursday-Sunday schedule). Key responsibilities
Lead the customer experience in the taproom
o Welcome all guests in an engaging and enthusiastic manner
o Provide hands-on bar support in the taproom
o Strive to create an excellent customer service experience for all guests
o Build rapport with regular customers to create a friendly and community atmosphere
o Answer phones and respond to any guest inquiries
o Manage and organize the retail and merchandise area
o Ensure all retail beer fridges are properly stocked, rotated and organized
o Manage appropriate stock levels of all non-alcoholic beverages and snacks
o Maintaining a pleasant taproom environment (music, cleanliness, temperature, etc.)
o Uphold cleanliness standards of the taproom including guest and staff washrooms
o Ability to coach, train and develop team to meet service expectations
o Be knowledgeable about Clifford beers and be able to recommend a beer to our guests’ preferences
o Promote upcoming events to all guests (ex. Trivia nights, live music, etc)
o Role occasionally requires working at off-site events such as beer festivals, etc.
Management and administrative duties
o Management of the taproom and retail team
o Uphold a constant level of staff productivity
o Complete taproom schedules
o Perform daily cash handling, closing reports, etc.
o Update Point of Sale System, signage and online store with any product changes
o Oversee and approve all POS discounts, voids, promotions, etc.
o Oversee that all online orders and shipments are completed
o Execute all special event bookings and group reservations as per booking specifications
o Be a positive role model and representation of Clifford Brewing
o Position works closely with the General Manager to maintain health and safety standards in the taproom
o Perform any additional duties as required
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Smart Serve certification
- A love for beer!
- At least 1 year of bartending experience in a similar role
- At least 1 year of leadership experience in a similar role: must be comfortable leading a small team of 5-10 people
- Must be able to lift cases of beer weighing 10kg and move kegs of beer weighing up to 90lbs
- Reliable transportation is required for any off-site events
- Prudhomme certification an asset

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
