Leader Name: Managing Director, Wealth Planning
As ATB's next Tax and Business Succession Specialist, you will work with ATB Wealth advisors to understand a client's specific circumstances, goals and dreams. You will provide expert guidance on both personal and corporate tax concepts that are relevant to each unique client. Your primary focus will be in supporting ATB Wealth's high net worth clients. You will also serve as an internal tax expert, contributing content on tax topics and providing advisors with tax information.
Our Tax and Business Succession Specialists are part of the Wealth Planning team. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our Estate & Succession Specialists and Specialized Wealth Planners.
Requirements
Tax & Business Succession Specialist Accountabilities:
- University degree in Commerce, Business or a related field;
- Advanced education such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program, law degree or Masters of Taxation
- Additional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA), or Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP) would be considered an asset
- At least six years of professional services experience with direct client interaction at an accounting or law firm and/or wealth management organization
- Deep technical understanding of complex tax planning principles and the application of tax planning strategies for high net worth individuals and business owners
- Commitment to continuous professional development, staying up to date on tax changes;
- Strong communication skills with an ability to share expertise in a simple yet educational manner;
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment with a high level of autonomy.
