Department Overview
The TD Securities Strategic Analysis and Support team is part of the Wholesale Banking (TD Securities) Finance group and is responsible for the management reporting of results for the Wholesale Bank and its Regional Offices (e.g. the U.S., Europe and Asia), developing the Wholesale strategy and related presentations, financial planning, and providing research and analysis support for our business partners.
Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD.   • Job Details
    Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for supporting both the Senior Analysts and Manager with strategic analysis and planning/forecasting for the Wholesale Banking business. Responsibilities may include results analysis, process automation, and ad-hoc reporting to support our stakeholders.
    Role Accountabilities:
  • Support Forecasting/Planning, Monthly Operating Results, and other ad-hoc presentations and activities
  • Position requires strong analytical/ financial modelling skills to provide high level financial analysis and value-added insight into the business
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maximize shareholder value by conducting analyses to support key business decisions and the achievement of business partner or department objectives
  • Initiate actions to further improve your own and the team's skills and performance. Continuously look for opportunities for professional development.
  • Demonstrate governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with key business / finance partners and other stakeholders

  • Job Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field; with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
  • Self-motivated individual with a curiosity to learn
  • Proactive self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong financial modelling capabilities to understand and interpret financial results
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with key business and finance partners, and other stakeholders
  • Proactive in making recommendations to improve processes and the working environment
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Pursuing university in a business or quantitative discipline

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence May 6 th to August 30 th , 2024.
