Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is an independent day school from JK-12 with a caring and thriving community. Teaching Assistant

Who We Are
Our educators introduce and implement learning within the framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. We are the only school in Victoria to offer this enriched, inquiry-based program. At GNS, every student matters which comes through in our dedication to supporting and inspiring student’s academic, co-curricular and personal growth through a high level of pastoral care. We are passionate educators who make an active contribution to our extensive co-curricular program and participate fully in the culture of our independent school community.
What You’ll Bring
The successful candidate will have experience working in a primary years classroom and be expected to support student learning with numeracy and literacy foundation skills under the direction of teachers. You will be a highly collegial and collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal skills to establish connections with students, teachers and staff. Experience and interest in weekly Nature School and knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be an asset but not mandatory. A strong aptitude in differentiated learning styles and a passion for educating the whole student is expected. A B.C. teaching certification would be considered an asset but is not required.
