- Lead, train, coach, and oversee a team of production workers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities and are motivated to meet production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and other documentation required for quality control and performance tracking.
- Supports maintenance team when required to ensure minimal downtime
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, increased efficiency, and waste reduction, working with Management to implement relevant improvements.
- Availability to work on the production line to cover breaks and absences.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and between shifts, ensuring that everyone is aligned with production goals and expectations.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and providing necessary training to team members.
- Previous supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Proven leadership skills to manage performance and inspire team to achieve results. Communication skills both verbally and written.
- Strong operating skills in organizing, planning and time management, as well as getting work done through others with the ability to manage and measure team members work progress
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Be able to work independently and within a small team environment in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain high levels of attendance.
- Be eager, upbeat, and have a positive attitude.
- Previous manufacturing experience and/or Team lead experience would be considered an asset.
- Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours.
- Ability to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying.
- Noisy due to machinery and equipment in operation.
- Wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
