Technical Representative for Automotive Refinishes and Paints

CARWORX DISTRIBUTION INC., a leader in the industry of Automotive Refinishes for over 20 years, together with our industrial coatings line from BESA. Our head office located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec is seeking a Technical Representative for our modern training center. Knowledge of Automotive Refinishes, body shop products and Paints are ideal. The candidate must meet the required qualifications listed below, be motivated, organized and a team player. - A full-time position from Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8:00-5:00 p.m.);
- A salary based on your experience;

You will be called upon to:

- Travel between Canada and the United States to visit and support customers as needed will be required.

- Provide technical support to existing and potential customers in the automotive coatings and refinishing industry (travelling involved);

- Provide technical support to our sales team and customers in a fast and professional manner;
- Provide training and demonstrations to our customers and sales team (travelling involved);
- Make color adjustments - automotive and industrial;
- Perform standard laboratory tests;
- Compare and test samples provided by the customer or manufacturer;
- Summarize and communicate all test results to adjust or improve product efficiency/quality as needed;
- Update our database (paint colors) and software (painting system);
- Determine the needs of our customers, provide ongoing support while optimizing the satisfaction of the products and programs offered;
- Help analyze and identify manufacturing processes to resolve any refinishing problems;
- Follow the latest trends, technology and improvements in the automotive coatings and refinishing industry;

Ideal Candidate:
- Have a relevant level of university education;
- Have 2 to 5 years of experience as a representative/ technical support and/or automotive/ industrial paint specialist;
- Have excellent computer skills, particularly: Excel, Word, Outlook, -some PowerPoint
- Have strong communication skills in English and French, (written and oral);
- Relevant experience as a specialist in automotive paint colors and/or technical support in the automotive refinishing industry.
