General Description

IT Technical Support staff monitor and assist in the maintenance of the computer systems and networks of Standens. This position installs and configures computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.

Skill/Effort Requirements

  • Strong IT background with a minimum of 2 years Technical Support experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365 Suite (Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Completion of college or university level program in computer science, computer programming or network administration
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, multitasking and customer service skills.
  • MS Dynamics 365 experience is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day Technical Support for network devices and desktops/laptops
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Emulate or reproduce technical problems encountered by users
  • Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other Technical Support analysts
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
