Since 2005, Virage Simulation, a company at the cutting edge of technology which has always raised the bar in the field of road vehicle simulation. Simulator manufacturing, software development and after-sales service all come from our offices located in Ville St-Laurent. Virage is a large family made up of specialists in a wide range of different fields.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
Integration (start-up) of new simulators
- Installation and configuration of computer cabinets according to the current project. We have a multitude of internal tools that help avoid repetitive and mechanical work. Let the tools make your life easier.
- Initial interconnection of the different computer components of the simulator (Getting started)
- Initial equipment calibration
- Drive the simulator to test its different functionalities.
- Quality assurance “checklist”
- Prepackaging equipment for shipment to our customers
- Participation in the continuous improvement of the integration process, whether through new processes, tests and adaptation to new equipment or documentation
Technical support
- Respond to service calls from our customers (English/French - telephone and email).
- Diagnosis of computer, electronic or even mechanical problems, via telephone, remote control or on site.
- Schedule and install software updates remotely using our automated tools..
- Create, document and track service tickets.
- Participate in improving our knowledge bank by documenting your best solutions to make them available to the entire team.
- Provide on-call duty, approximately one week out of 4, by responding to emails and telephone calls outside office hours. Will receive a compensation for the on-call week $
Customer service on the road/travel
- Visit our local customers by car to perform repairs and/or preventative maintenance on simulators. Included compensation for mileage with your personal car $
- Travel to Canada, USA and internationally for preventative maintenance, repairs, or installations of new simulators. Includes hotel, rental car, and meal allowance $

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The profile we are looking for:
- Curious: likes to learn and understand the world of simulation
- Cartesian mind: common sense of diagnosis, proceeds by elimination.
- Manual: easy to disassemble and reassemble parts
- Organized: Knows how to plan his time well and prioritize critical tasks
- Bilingual: Most of our clients are English speaking
- Traveler: Likes to hit the road and is available about one week per month (license and valid passport required)
- Team spirit: Likes to help colleagues and knows how to ask for help when necessary.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- DEC, AEC or DEP in computer technology or TECHNICAL SUPPORT (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent command of Windows 7-10 (XP an asset)
- Experience with computer repair (hardware, software, BIOS, and imaging)
- Good command of oral and written English and French
- 2 to 5 years’ experience recommended, but we will also consider internships and people fresh out of school.
- Knowledge of electromechanics, an asset
- Knowledge of programming, an asset
- Knowledge of networking, an asset
- Experience in quality assurance, an asset
