Job description

Do you believe the secret to the success of a company is their people?

Then Jobber might be the place for you! We're looking for a Technical Talent Attraction Partner to join our scaling organization and help us build an incredible talent community.

Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. As featured in the Globe and Mail, we work with home and field service companies to help them better quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers. Having been named the #2 fastest-growing software company in Canada and one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2020, it's clear we've come a long way from our first customer in 2011 – but we've just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.

Our product provides entrepreneurs the flexibility of working in their office or the field and we offer that same opportunity to our employees. You will have the choice to work remotely anywhere within Canada or take advantage of our beautiful Edmonton and Toronto offices. We're committed to ensuring the best experience for all Jobberinos to do impactful work. We weren't named a top workplace in Canada for nothing!

The role:

The Talent Attraction team focuses on finding the right people to join us on our journey on helping make people in small businesses successful. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Attraction, you will have the opportunity to apply your Talent Acquisition experience to build effective strategies that attract top talent, apply performance and competency-based interview methodologies, and see your leadership and contributions have a direct impact on the overall success of the company.

In this role, you'll be focused on engaging, interviewing, and hiring talented new Jobberinos primarily for the revenue side of our business: Marketing, Sales and Customer Support. In addition, you will also support hiring for the Operations side of our business: Finance and IT. You will act as a partner to your hiring managers by deeply understanding their teams and recruitment needs while creating a great candidate experience that drives engagement and tells a compelling story.

The Technical Talent Attraction Partner will:

  • Champion the recruiting process and collaborate closely with hiring managers to consistently understand and level up their skills. You will be responsible for the full cycle recruiting process that includes funnel strategy development, sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, candidate communication, and the offer process.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines and talent communities by leveraging networking opportunities (Jobber-sponsored events, industry events, meetups, etc.), creating strong recruitment campaigns, and establishing communication strategies that heighten candidate engagement in the short and long term.
  • Utilize data to improve recruiting efficiency, drive innovation and influence hiring decisions. You'll play a critical role in establishing metrics that both influence and inform hiring managers.
  • Understand our diversity and inclusion approach and make recommendations to strengthen this focus within the overall recruitment process.
  • Become an ambassador of our culture by being humble, supportive - and someone who truly gives a sh*t! You will represent Jobber with the highest degree of professionalism.
  • Act as an advocate and coach on recruitment best practices and standards for all things technical recruitment. You bring experience and can influence stakeholders towards outcomes supported by our objectives.
  • Be a brand ambassador, promoting Jobber as a destination employer.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Proven full-cycle recruiting experience in a SaaS company.
  • Strong sourcing capabilities and creative approaches to attracting candidates.
  • Previous experience influencing and shaping an exciting and effective talent acquisition process.
  • A data-driven mindset paired with curiosity, which helps inform and educate our leaders.
  • A track record of success, exceeding targets, and being able to motivate others to do the same.
  • To think big, yet manage the details. You can see the big picture but are also laser-focused on delivery and execution. This role requires a ton of organizing - you're dealing with multiple candidates and roles at once! - so there's not a lot of room to let things slip through the cracks
  • Next-level communication and relationship-building abilities. You're striving to be a candidate advocate while also being a business partner to your stakeholders.
  • An authentic commitment to diversity and inclusion hiring practices.
  • Passion and dedication to establishing an exceptional candidate experience.

What you can expect from Jobber:

Having been named as a Top 10 Great Place to Work in Canada, we walk the talk. Here are just some of the great things you can expect from us:

  • A total compensation package that includes an extended health benefits package with fully paid premiums for both body and mind, RRSP matching, and stock options.
  • A dedicated Coaching and Development function, including Development Coaches, to help build the career you want and hit the goals you set, while ensuring you're reaching your fullest potential.
  • Support for all your breaks: from vacation to rest and recharge, your birthday off to celebrate, health days to support your physical and mental health, and parental leave top-ups to support your growing family.
  • A unique opportunity to build, grow, and leave your impact on a $400-billion industry that has no dominant player...yet.
  • To work with a group of people who are humble, supportive, and give a sh*t about our customers.

We believe that diverse teams perform better and that fostering an inclusive work environment is a key part of growing a successful team. We welcome people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to working with applicants requesting accommodation at any stage of the hiring process.
