Your future role on our team

BBA is seeking a talented candidate to support our technical teams in preparing technical documents, correspondence, and updating files. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and clarity of technical documentation and reports related to our engineering projects. Working closely with our engineers and technicians, you will assist in writing, proofreading, correcting, and improving technical documents. The role of Junior Technical Writer / Project Assistant at BBA consists mostly of preparing and editing technical documents, in addition to ensuring compliance to document format and control standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and concise written content for various audiences
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to gather information and validate technical details in written materials
  • Review, proofread, correct, and revise documents, such as specifications, reports, and proposals, to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to corporate quality standards
  • Ensure consistency in style, terminology, and formatting across all documentation
  • Electronically publish and compile documents and document packages
  • Assist in the final issuance of deliverables
  • Maintain document control standards using a digital document management system

Overview of certifications and job requirements


  • Post secondary degree or diploma
  • Technical writing training and/or experience
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel, and other MS Office Suite software
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and style
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the field of consulting engineering or other professional service field would be an asset
