Job Description
Working within a team of fire protection professionals, your work will help the company to meet our clients’ expectations and guarantee them fully compliant Fire Alarm systems.
You will mainly be responsible for the verification, programming, service and inspection of Fire Alarm systems according to standards and codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:
Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing Fire Alarm systems;
Preparation of inspection, verification and deficiencies reports in a timely manner;
May also include preparation, assembly, programming, initial start-up and verification of new Fire Alarm system, as well as project management (depending on experience and skill set).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
If you are Journeyman Electrician and hold your CFAA certification, this could be one of the most interesting and fulfilling job for you. You will have the opportunity to install, program, inspect, diagnose, repair and replace a large variety of fire protection systems and fire protection components such as:
At least 1 year of experience in testing and inspection of Fire Alarm systems;
Strong fundamentals in electronics or electricity or Fire Science Technology or equivalent training and experience;
CFAA / ASTT certification (an asset);
Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537;
Valid driver’s licence (mandatory);
Ability to work well independently;
Strong customer service skills;
Knowledge of Notifier products and/or fire systems (an asset).
