TELECOMMUNICATION TECHNICIAN – LEVEL 1, 2, and 3
Fibertel is currently looking for dynamic, unique, problem-solving individuals to fill all levels of Communication Technician career openings. Fibertel is one of the fastest growing, low voltage integrators in Alberta. Technicians joining our projects team will provide valuable experience in technology and low voltage installations from large scale capital projects to single line applications, including voice-data communications, fiber optic networks, security, intrusion, video surveillance and audio-visual systems.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a willing attitude to learn a trade and pursue a career in the construction industry.

Skill Set
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Basic Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Commercial construction exposure.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and calm under pressure.
- Self-motivated, positive, punctual, and professional attitude.
Additional Requirements
- Hold and maintain a valid class 5 operator's license with a reliable vehicle to commute to and from site.
- Ability to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs, as required.
- Travel and out of town work, is required.
- Ability to work varying shifts, as required.
Certifications (current) that are a benefit to this position, but not required include:
- Highschool Diploma
- CSTS2020 Fundamentals
- First Aid
- Fall Protection and Elevated Work Platform (scissor and boom)
