Acden Environment Limited Partnership is seeking TemporarySpotters/Labourersto support a turnaround event at Syncrude located in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The schedule will consist of 6 on, 1 off; working 12-hour day and night shifts; however, schedules, shifts and site locations may change from time to time to meet operational requirements.
This position is expected to end on or before June 30, 2024. Bussing to and from site will be available for locals to the Fort McMurray area.

What you’ll be doing
- Guide operators in for bin services using spotter techniques, direct traffic and help secure bins.
- Assist with cleaning vehicles and general maintenance.
- Notify Acden Environment Safety, Acden Corporate Safety and/or supervision, concerning the need for repairs to prevent potential injuries.
- Perform various cleaning and organizing tasks as directed by leadership.
- Operate vehicles in mine environment as signed off.
- Understand new tasks and follow Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Safe Job Procedures (SJP) as required by assigned tasks.
- Follow all client site protocols for badge/swiping in and out on client site.
- Complete daily Field Level Risk Assessment (FLRA) and submit to supervisor as required.
- Complete Near Miss Cards and submit to supervisor as required.
- Complete Peer to Peer observations and submit to supervisor as required.
- Other duties as assigned that would fulfill the mandate of complete customer service.
What do you bring to the table?
- Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO); or OSSA BSO Certificate, or a combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional Certificates is a requirement.
- Eligible to work on all Acden client sites is a requirement.
- Have a safety-first attitude.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
- Must be able to pass the physical demands that are set forth to perform the duties of a Spotter/Labourer which may include but not limited to bending, twisting, standing, walking, sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and push/pull heavy objects.
