Terminal Operator Commissionaire - London

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Control access to London Terminal Site
  
• Monitor terminal tank levels to ensure they remain within operational limits
  
• Monitor and supervise truck delivery receipts
  
• Perform quality control checks / testing per Suncor Procedures
  
• Monitor site water drainage as required
  
• Issue work permits when required
  
• Observe trucks and drivers for security breaches
  
• Ensure compliance with Suncor policies
  
• Assist drivers if requested during loading
  
• Provide first response and contact terminal management in the event of an emergency
  
• Obtain and maintain all qualifications required by Suncor
  
• Uniform & PPE (fireproof clothing, hard hat, gloves, boots, etc) is required at all times on site, provided by Suncor

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
• Have the ability to remain vigilant in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
• The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.20

Location: 2080 Oxford Street East, London, Ontario

Hours of work: Varies, Rotating; Approx. 30 hours

As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
