Responsible for booking all client appointments, or surgical procedure schedules based on booking information and
appropriate resources as part of a multi- disciplinary team. Works collaboratively with stakeholders with a
customer/client focus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Completion of post-secondary education in Medical Office Administration Assistant through a business school or
- Completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course an asset
- Thorough knowledge Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
- One (1) year related experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- One (1) year experience in scheduling patients’ procedures/tests
- Thorough knowledge of Accuro an asset
- Accurate typing at 40 words per minute (typing test will be required)
- Satisfactory employment record required
- Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
