The role:
As a flagger you must use knowledge of traffic safety and flow to direct vehicles around work sites. You will be working in all kinds of weather and often standing for long periods of time. Flaggers should be attentive and display strong communication and observation skills. You will work mainly for construction companies.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Direct Vehicles Around Road Construction Sites
Communicate with Other Flaggers and Construction Personnel
Place Traffic Cones and Construction Signs
Record Information About Disobedient Drivers
Allow for safe pedestrian crossing, where needed
- You must have an up to date and current TCP certificate that is recognized in British Columbia.
Work Conditions:
This role may require you to work in all weather conditions, inside and outside. Sourcing your own means of transportation to and from your working location will be required (the majority of our work-force use public transit with no issues!)
We schedule our workers on a 40 hour per week basis (Monday-Friday), with pay days falling bi-weekly on a Friday. Shift times may vary, however our usual shift is 7:30am-3:30pm (8 hours). Overtime may be required on occasion and will be paid within the provincial employee pay legislation guidelines
