Job description

Position: Training Support Representative I (Co-op)

Location: Walkerton, Ontario

Hours: 7.5 hour workday Monday to Friday

Salary: $17.36-23.03

Assignment duration: To begin in May 13, 2024 for a 4month term

The Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) is seeking a qualified post-secondary student to support the delivery of its programs.

This position supports the coordination and delivery of mandatory and other director-approved training and events and provides a wide range of administrative and communications support for the Training Department.


Key Technical Duties
:

  • Assist with the administrative requirements for all classroom, virtual, online and correspondence training courses including the procurement of all requirements for course logistics (e.g. course preparation and catering, course orders and closing courses) in accordance with the training schedule.
  • Maintains and compiles the Centre’s training database.
  • Provides administrative support to other departments as required (e.g. front desk coverage, assist with uploading web content).

Conditions for the Successful applicant:

  • An official letter from the college certifying enrollment in a minimum of 2nd year of a full-time college program in business administration. An official letter from the college certifying successful completion of at least one year (2 terms – Sept. to April) of a minimum 2 year full-time college program in Business Administration or a related program.
  • A minimum completion of one year in a relevant college diploma in Business Administration or related field.
  • This position requires strong computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • A good understanding of government procurement directives would be an asset.
  • A valid class G driver’s license (or equivalent) that is not expired, forfeited, or suspended or access to own transportation is required.
  • This position requires excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
