The Transportation Entry Level Program (TELP) provides mentorship, coaching, comprehensive training, geared to help TELP's career growth and future growth within the ministry. Becoming a TELP provides you with a broader range of work experiences, while allowing you to maintain a great work life balance. TELP is designed to provide career opportunities to recent graduates or those with up to one year of relevant experience where applicable and provide them with work experience and training, while continually increasing their responsibilities.
Each successful TELP applicant will start in an under-implemented position at the Grid 15 salary level and be required to complete separate assignments offering a variety of work, competency development, and training opportunities. You will be assigned to work with experienced mentors who promote and accelerate development. The Supervisor/Mentor will provide pre-assignment objectives and standards, ongoing constructive feedback, and an interim evaluation as well as an evaluation at the completion of the program. Plan to be exposed to a variety of technical problems, solutions and techniques that provide a solid career foundation for the future in a ministry that has a strong emphasis on training and career growth. Upon completion of your training and development, you will graduate into the Grid 18 salary level.

Job Requirements:
Basic qualifications include the following, however, youMUSTrefer to the attached Job Profiles to view theFULL SETof job qualifications and willingness statements. In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience requirements.
  • Recent post-secondary program graduation (program completion by spring 2024 or within the last seven years) with a diploma/degree in a RELATED FIELD as specified in the attached Job Profiles.
  • An equivalent combination of education as above (e.g. relevant post-secondary certificate program) with related experience may also be considered.
  • Eligibility to permanently work in Canada.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license may be required.
  • Some positions may require relocation

NOTE:If your completed related education/program was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services ().

What to expect?
