The Opportunity

Seasonal Labourer (6 months or less):

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required, with no GDL.
• Performs labour using hands or hand tools.
• Sustained operation of minor, power or electronic equipment.
• Sustained and/or repeated heavy physical demand.

Responsibilities

Seasonal labourers are responsible for a variety of work among park crews throughout the summer months. You could be responsible for mowing and trimming grass, weeding and watering flowerbeds, landscaping duties or a variety of other tasks. This job ad will be used to create an applicant pool from which positions may be filled.

You Bring

• Ability to work outdoors in all-weather environments as required
• Standard First Aid certification
• Valid Class 5 driver's license (with less than 6 demerits)

Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor. Shifts may run within the hours of 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week.

Compensation

Starting Salary is $23.66 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
