As a Travel Counsellor at Kandhari Travels, you will be point of contact for the customers, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, providing expert travel advice, and helping our clients create unforgettable travel experiences. Your role will involve:
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by actively listening to clients' travel needs and preferences, offering expert advice, and assisting them in planning and booking their trips and providing post-sales support in person, on phone and email.
- Use your sales skills to promote and sell flight tickets, travel packages, accommodations, and other travel-related services and contributing to the success of the branch. Communicate with suppliers or airlines as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest travel trends, destinations, and industry offerings to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Utilize travel agency booking systems (Amadeus/Sabre) to make reservations, create itineraries, and handle all aspects of the booking process like changes, cancellations and refunds.
- Follow up with accounts to coordinate and complete reconciliation process.
- Assist clients in resolving travel-related issues, such as changes, cancellations, or refunds ensuring a smooth experience.
- Documentation: Must have an eye for detail. Prepare and maintain accurate travel documents including tickets and travel insurance.
- Administration/Office work: Create marketing material for social media and other platforms. Perform general office duties as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in travel industry (2-3 years) in air ticketing, reservations, corporate travel, tour packages, destination expertise, and cruises, etc.
- TICO Certified professional- Preferred
- Experience using a GDS system, preferably Amadeus
- Strong sales and customer service skills with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills. Hindi or Punjabi is good to have.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment; must be able to multi-task efficiently and accurately; strong attention to detail; Ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and/or google suite.
