Treasury & Risk Specialist

We're looking for a Treasury & Risk Specialistto join our head office located in Vernon, British Columbia. Our head office houses Tolko's corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience/education.
  • A high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality of company matters.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • General knowledge of banking, accounting, corporate insurance, finance, and administration.
  • Experience with online banking portals and/or Treasury Management Systems.
  • Working knowledge of Dynamics AX and JDE is an asset.
  • Interest in or completion of the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) program.

In this role you will:
  • Process company-wide incoming customer and other receipts.
  • Coordinate annualproperty appraisals and consolidate appraisal data for use in the annual insurance renewal process.
  • Coordinatethe issuance of certificates of insurance with the broker.
  • Support the department through a variety of administrative, accounting, and reporting functions.
  • Provide coverage for the Treasury & Banking Coordinator, including cashforecasting, preparing wires, executing foreign exchange transactions, recording cash entries, and coordinating the issuance of letters of credit.
  • Liaisewithkey internal customers (Accounts Payable, Credit, Divisional and Corporate Accounting) and external service providers (banks, consultants, non-trade customers) on treasury-related matters.
  • Help develop thestrategic direction and implementation of departmental goals and objectives.
