We are currently seeking applicants to work in our Tecumseh facility as an Assembly Operator.
Role Description:
- Unionized environment
- Rotates amongst the various operations within the cell, to perform all assembly functions required to assemble the seat belt (or component of) while ensuring the daily principles of safety, quality, delivery and productivity are followed at all times to produce high quality parts for our customers.
- Bring any quality, safety, or productivity issues to the attention of the Team Leader
- Follow standardized work instructions and process conformance procedures to ensure quality parts are produced
- Perform all assembly tasks within defined Takt time to meet production goals
- Maintain 5S within designated work area
- Visual inspection of parts to ensure they meet established standards
- Perform repetitive motions while standing for up to 8 hours daily
Requirements:
- CSA Approved Safety Shoes (Fully Closed)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs repetitively, up to 55 lbs occasionally
- Reliable transportation on a daily basis
- 2-shift rotation (Days and Afternoons) within a 2-week frequency, Monday to Friday operation with
Saturdays as needed
- TPT’s must be students enrolled in post-secondary education institutions or have reached the age of 18 and are still attending full time school.
