Wage: $27.75/Hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours of work: 40-50 hour/week
Location of Work: Various locations across Canada.
Job Duties:
- Load and unload goods.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks and dump trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Perform brake adjustments.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Transport and handling dangerous goods.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- Taping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
Transportation/Travel: Local, Regional and provincial/territorial.
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Manual and auto trucks, dump truck.

Education: No formal Education is Required for this position.
Experience: No experience required. Training will be provided.
Credentials: Class 1 or A driver’s license and Air Brake (2) endorsement.
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, trip reports, Accident or incident reports.
Language: Basic English.
