Truck Driver - Class 1 Or Class 3E

Are you a CLASS 1 Truck Driver looking for FULL-TIME work? Universal Staffing is presently hiring for ONE Truck Driver to operate a variety of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles at a recycling facility and landfill operations.

Reporting to the Operation Supervisor, the Equipment Operator/Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling facility and landfill operations.

Wage is $19/h+ 4% vacation pay. Weekly payroll deposit every Friday!

The incumbent assists commercial and general public customers to ensure safe and efficient dumping.

DUTIES

• Operates the full range of heavy equipment including dozers, scrapers, loaders, graders and compactors utilized in the landfill operation for the purpose of spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or solid in an efficient manner.
• Inspects and performs daily routine servicing on equipment such as; fuel check, belt, brakes, engine oil check, radiator coolant, transmission oil, hydraulic fluids, leaking fluids), cleans windows and mirrors, grease fitting at the end of the day, etc.
• Continuously monitors the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment, as needed.
• Identifies equipment problems and reports need for equipment servicing and repair; explain equipment performance and mechanical issues to supervisors and mechanics.
• Follows all required safety policies and procedures.
• Monitors solid waste while moving, compacting or covering trash to identify and report any hazardous materials.
• Performs assigned duties on roll-off bin delivery and hauling routes for Mobile Eco Depots.
• Hauls waste debris from the Mobile Eco Depots.
• Communicates all hazardous conditions, accidents and injuries to the supervisor in a timely manner to facilitate timely correction or reporting.
• Performs laboring work in the maintenance and construction of the site assigned.
• Performs all other duties assigned by the Operation Manager.
