Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to and from specified locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or cranes
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as roll-off trucks or dump trucks
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation systems
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
