Truck Repair Shop Helper

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Shop Helper to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our service Repair Shop. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting Technicians: Provide support to the technicians by handing them tools, parts, and equipment and ensuring they have everything they need to efficiently complete the repair and maintenance tasks.
• Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, mopping, and keeping tools and equipment properly cleaned and stored.
• Inventory Management: Assist in managing parts and inventory, including retrieving, and delivering parts and supplies to and from vendors and suppliers. Maintain accurate records of parts usage and replenish stock when needed.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Learning Opportunities: The role provides a valuable opportunity for learning about repair and maintenance, with the potential for career advancement within the company.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of automotive tools and equipment is a plus.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) and sand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license.
