The Opportunity

Clean Harbors is looking for Seasonal Labourers to join our turnaround team on a temporary basis.

This position requires the candidate to safely perform labor tasks including, but not limited to - confined space entry working in vessels or tanks, rigging in and out, working at heights, high-pressure water blasting up to 40k PSI and assisting with job site preparation.

You would be supporting projects that will require 100% travel. Availability is necessary for training starting in April with projects spanning May through July 2024 with the potential to join our team in a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Support Operator when working with various Industrial Vacuuming equipment (Combo Units, Vac Trucks, Water Trucks etc).
  • Support Operator when working with various high-pressure water blasting tools & equipment (pressures up to 40K PSI);
  • Work in confined spaces such as vessels and tanks under supplied air;
  • Performing work at heights;
  • Perform general labor duties as assigned, including the use of hand/power tools;
  • Work as part of a team with Clients, Co-workers & Supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Class 5 Drivers License preferred;
  • May be required to provide a 5-year driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerits.
  • Safety Tickets preferred (i.e., H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space Entry);
  • Common Safety Orientation required prior to onboarding.
  • Must be willing to work in Confined Spaces and at heights performing labour-intensive tasks;
  • Previous Vacuum Truck and/or High-Pressure unit operating experience is an asset;
  • Previous labor-intensive experience;
  • Willing to travel for extended periods and work 10-14 hour shifts (accommodations provided);
  • Flexibility to work day or night shift as required;
  • Previous shutdown/turnaround experience is an asset.
